Liberia: Lew Exposes Environmental Dangers

"A United States/Liberian-based environmental protection advocacy organization, Liberia Environmental Watch (LEW) has embarked on a week-long environmental sensitization campaign in Monrovia, with a call to government to design an acceptable framework that will ensure environmental decontamination in Liberia.

The cleaning exercise commenced in the municipality of New Kru Town. On the first day of the day-long clearing exercise, an LEC oil pipe was discovered which according to environmental experts, poses threats to the survival of residents."
